Special Donor Program
The Special Donor Program is designed as a way to thank people and groups that provide a high level of financial support for the Center and its programs. With donor permission, special donors will be acknowledged in the Center’s newsletter, website and public presentations. High level donors will be invited to participate at cost in Center research and community field projects in the Amazon. Click HERE for program description.
Amazon Field Volunteer
Amazon Field Volunteers are people who assist a Center for Amazon Community Ecology research or community support project in the field. This is a service learning opportunity for people who want to experience the Amazon rainforest first hand and play an active role in supporting its conservation and traditional peoples. Amazon Field Volunteers help the Center carry out its field projects with contributions of their time, energy and money. Click HERE for full program description.
Donations from online auction sales
eBay Giving Works is a program that allows eBay sellers to donate a percentage of their on-line sales to one or more non-profit organizations. According to eBay, Giving Works listings often sell at higher prices, because many buyers are willing to pay more for items that support a nonprofit. The seller can treat the amount provided to the non-profit as a tax-deductible donation. The Center is now registered to be a non-profit recipient of donations through this program administered through Mission Fish. Please contact us if you or your company would be interested in supporting our work through this or other e-commerce programs. See more information in our Donate section.
