These elegant boho-style necklaces feature a lacquered cross-section of the ayahuasca vine above a mother-of-pearl tear-drop embedded in sliver metal black filigree pendant attached to a macrame waxed thread. Ayahuasca is used by many Amazon shamans in traditional ceremonies. The necklace was made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.
The mother-of-pearl pendant is 1" x 1 1/2" is adorned with one pair of stone beads above the unpolished ayahuasca piece (1/2" dia.). The waxed twine has two knots that allow easy adjustment of the length to fit it over your head and then tighten.
