This collection includes 20 ornaments of birds which spend part or all of their time in the United States. These birds include a variety of popular songbirds, water birds, and raptors which are North American residents and some which spend part of the winter in Latin America.
All of these ornaments are woven with chambira palm fiber by skilled artisans from eight indigenous and peasant communities from the Peruvian Amazon in cooperation with Amazon Ecology.
