Ayahuasca vine and aragonite macrame necklace
These elegant boho-style necklaces feature a lacquered cross-section of the ayahuasca vine above a mottled aragonite round stone embedded in macrame waxed thread. Ayahuasca is used by many Amazon shamans in traditional ceremonies. The necklace was made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.
The waxed twine chord has two knots that allow easy adjustment of the length to fit it over your head and then tighten. Comes in beige and black chord.
Please remember that each stone is unique so its pattern and colors will vary from the one featured in this product's main photo.

Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
