Ayahuasca vine and green jade macrame necklace

Sale price$60.00

These elegant boho-style necklaces feature a lacquered cross-section of the ayahuasca vine above a large green jade stone attached to a macrame waxed thread necklace. Ayahuasca is used by many Amazon shamans in traditional ceremonies.  The necklace was made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.

Each necklace has a waxed twine with two knots that allow easy adjustment of the length to fit it over your head and then tighten. One model has two pairs of small stones above the ayahuasca vine piece; the other does not.

Please remember that each piece is unique so the pattern will vary from the one featured in this product's main photo.

Models: NK068P19

Material: Black chord with two pairs of small stones

Support native artisans
& rainforest in the Amazon

Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
