Ayahuasca vine and serpentine stone macrame necklace
This unique elegant boho-style necklace features a green olive serpentine stone embedded in a macrame waxed thread necklace. One model has a round piece of ayahuasca vine above it. The other model has the stone embedded in a wreath of woven leaves.
Ayahuasca is used by many Amazon shamans in traditional ceremonies. The necklace was made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.
These serpentine stones come in either a round oval or an arrow head. The ayahuasca vine piece is about 3/4" in diameter. The necklace has a waxed twine with two knots that allow easy adjustment of the length to fit it over your head and then tighten.
Model: NK068P27 (round stone); NK068G41P09
Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
