Barn owl ceramic bird water whistle from the Peruvian Amazon

Sale price$12.00

This fun water whistle represents the barn owl - a frequent sentinel of the night in North American woods.  Blow into this fun little ceramic whistle and you get one sound - add some water and blow again to get a fun trill that sounds just like a bird!  These models feature a purple chicken and a brown owl.

Each little flute has a hole that can be left uncovered or covered with your finger to vary the pitch of the whistle.  It is attached to a simple chord you can use to carry this whistle with you anywhere.

Made by local artisans from the city of Iquitos in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon.

& rainforest in the Amazon

Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
