Hand made ceremonial drum made by Peruvian amazon artisan
These unique one of a kind hand drums are made with sheep hide by a talented artisan from the Peruvian Amazon. Each drum features hand painted Shipibo designs and animals associated with spiritual healing practices. One model features an eagle; the other features three marvelous spatule tail hummingbirds in flight. They will play a special role in a ceremony or drum circle.
Each drum is 14.75 inches in diameter and 3.75 inches tall. The drum top is secured on the back with 16 tightly wrapped natural chords. It comes with an 8" long stick.
Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
