Dolphin Balsa Wood Earrings - made by artisan from Peruvian Amazon
These fun earrings feature the well-known boto (pink dolphin) of the Amazon. These mythic animals have been carved from lightweight balsa so you can show off your connection to the largest river in the world. Each earring is adorned with a black achira seed bead.
These earrings are made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years. The French hooks are made with non-allergenic material.

Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
