Fair-Trade Bottle Carrier/Wine Tote with zig zag Bora native pattern
This elegant fair-trade bottle carrier was hand-made by an artisan from Bora and Huitoto native communities in the Ampiyacu region of the Peruvian Amazon. The craft was hand-made with durable chambira palm fiber. Its elegant pattern features a black, yellow and maroon zig-zag and tri-colored band with a black triangle trim. All colors were made with natural plant dyes.
The totes come in different sizes so you can carry your slim or wide-mouth water bottle hands-free on a hike or bring your favorite bottle of riesling or cabernet sauvignon to a friend's house for dinner. Each model comes with a comfortable one-inch wide shoulder strap for each carrying. A tag lists the artisan's name and community and the plants they used to make it. Please note that each hand-made craft may vary from the model shown depending on the artisan who made it.

Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
