FANTASY HUMMINGBIRD BIRD ORNAMENT - WOVEN BY PERUVIAN AMAZON ARTISAN

Check out these multi-colored fantasy hummingbird ornaments created by an imaginative artisan from the Peruvian Amazon.  One has long tail feathers similar to the real marvelous spatuletail, but this ornament has a bright pink breast, blue wings and green accents. Another one-of-a-kind model is a beautiful rainbow bird.

Since there are so many birds in the diverse forest, we sometimes say that it is a species that has not yet been found by scientists.  It will look great hanging on your Christmas tree, rear-view mirror or adding a colorful touch to another part of your home or hat.

These ornaments were woven with chambira palm fiber by a native Amazon artisan. The sale of these ornaments supports forest conservation and helps meet local needs in traditional communities in Peru. 

Each ornament comes with a tag listing the name and home of the artisan who made it and the plants used to make it. Please remember that each ornament is hand-made so the exact design may vary from the photo of this model.
