Check out this multi-colored fantasy hummingbird ornament created by an imaginative artisan from the Peruvian Amazon.  It has long tail feathers similar to the real marvelous spatuletail, but this ornament has a bright pink breast, blue wings and green accents.  Since there are so many birds in the diverse forest, we sometimes say that it is a species that has not yet been found by scientists.  It will look great hanging on your Christmas tree, rear-view mirror or adding a colorful touch to another part of your home or hat.

This ornament was woven with chambira palm fiber by a native Amazon artisan. The sale of these ornaments supports forest conservation and helps meet local needs in traditional communities in Peru.
