Woven hot pad (trivet) and center piece with blended green rings
This chambira palm fiber hot pad (trivet) with elegant contrast was designed by Bora native artisan Ines Chichaco from the village of Brillo Nuevo on the Ampiyacu River. One model features two rings of blended black and white and green and white with a black and white blended center. The other has rings that are a blend of pink, yellow and black. Please remember that each craft is hand-made so there are slight differences between the craft and the photo of the model.

Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
