These elegant boho-style necklaces feature a lacquered cross-section of the ayahuasca vine above a pendant of moonstone/opalite embedded in a macrame waxed thread necklace. Ayahuasca is used by many Amazon shamans in traditional ceremonies.  The necklace was made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.

The necklace comes in two styles.  One style (NK68GA) features an round stone that is 1" to 1 1/4" in diameter with a pair of stone beads above the ayahuasca piece.  The other variety (NK67G) has an oplalite cube that is 3/4" on a side.  The waxed twine has two knots that allow easy adjustment of the length to fit it over your head and then tighten.

Models: NK68GA & NK67G

Material: Opalite (round)

Support native artisans
& rainforest in the Amazon

Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
