Black star abalone necklace from the Peruvian Amazon
This elegant boho-style necklace features a circular pendant of a multi-point black star with a multi-colored center of abalone, spondylus and spiral shells mounted on a backing of black cow horn. The cord is a corkscrew style of black beads with a button clasp. The necklace was made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.
