FAIR -TRADE HAND-MADE GUITAR STRAP - MAROON WITH BLACK STRIPE - WOVEN BY PERUVIAN AMAZON ARTISAN
This unique fair-trade Amazon Guitar Strap was hand-made by a native artisan from the Ampiyacu region of the Peruvian Amazon. This strap is sturdy, comfortable and flexible. It is woven from two-inch wide chambira palm fiber attached to a quality brass-plated buckle so its length can be adjusted from 45 to 55 inches to fit the guitarist’s style and height. Both ends are tightly sewn to a black leather tab that snugly fits over a standard folk or electric guitar strap button. This is a perfect strap for musicians who want to show their appreciation and support for native culture and the environment. This strap was woven with a maroon "body" with a black stripe in the middle and edges. Each strap comes with a tag listing the artisan's name and community and the plants they used to make it.

Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
