Huayruru seed pair earrings - made by Peruvian Amazon artisan

These simple boho-style earrings feature two large huayruru seeds.  One model has a silver colored bead ring between the seeds; the other has the pair of huayruru seeds complemented with an achira seed dangle. The natural two-tone huayruru seeds from this distinctive group of tropical trees in the bean family are reddish-orange with a distinctive black patch.  Throughout the Amazon they are considered to bring the bearer good luck, but it is important to remember that they are not edible.  

These earrings are made by an experienced artisan from Iquitos.  The French hooks are made with non-allergenic material.
