PRAYING MANTIS WOVEN INSECT ORNAMENT - HAND-MADE BY ARTISAN FROM THE PERUVIAN AMAZON

This unique fair-trade ornament represents a praying mantis.  It will look great hanging on your Christmas tree, rear-view mirror or adding a distinctive companion to your favorite hat.

These ornaments are handmade by Peruvian Amazon artisans from natural chambira palm fiber. The sale of these ornaments supports forest conservation and helps meet local needs in traditional communities in Peru.

These ornaments were made by an artisan from the village of Puerto Miguel on the Maranon River. Each ornament comes with a tag listing the name and village of the artisan who made it and the plants used to make it.
