Quartz and ayahuasca vine macrame star necklace from the Peruvian Amazon
This elegant boho-style necklace features an oval white quartz stone embedded in a seven-point green and red macrame sun below a lacquered cross-section of the ayahuasca vine. Ayahuasca is used by many Amazon shamans in traditional ceremonies.
Each necklace has a waxed twine with two knots that allow easy adjustment of the length to fit it over your head and then tighten. The necklaces were made by expert artisans from Iquitos.
