Spiral shell necklace from the Peruvian Amazon

This elegant boho-style necklace features a circular pendant with side-by-side cross-sections of spiral shells below a crescent of abalone mounted on a backing of black cow horn.  The cord is a corkscrew style of red beads with a button clasp. The necklace was made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.
